The world produces over 90 million tons of textile waste every year and this contributes significantly to environmental pollution, with the industry responsible for 10% of global carbon emissions. While we do support emerging creatives and artists work in it's many forms, due to this fact we choose to address this concern instead of quietly avoiding the topic as we enter into this sector of the fashion industry.
We want to encourage our customers to embed sustainability and longevity in your decision making when shopping our products. In a world of over-consumption, we want to bring awareness & minimize environmental impact in some way, shape, or form. We aim to create clothes that are meant to be worn a lifetime. We are constantly searching for sustainable solutions within our brand. And as we grow we will take the necessary steps to establish eco-credentials to not only claim sustainability, but certify it.
Here at CIMANI we encourage you to choose wisely. Your closet is an investment. Your clothes are the asset. Treat it as such. Recycle items. Up-cycle and turn old to new. Sell items that you don't use. Donate secondhand clothing to thrift stores, shelters, local pickup/drop-off groups, churches, consignment stores etc. Give your clothes the chance to grow old and not die with trends.
"Looking at the man, Jesus felt genuine love for him. “There is still one thing you haven’t done,” he told him. “Go and sell all your possessions and give the money to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.” Mark 10:21
